Worst Payroll Processor on Planet

This company is horrific. After 29 months of mistakes, inadequacies, lack of proper tracking, and a multitude of other issues, we finally fired them.

We lost employees because they couldn't understand the paystubs (Paycom refused to make the paystubs undertandable for the common man); their ACA software is a joke--we'd enter hours monthly for over 160 employees, and then the system would "lose" those numbers; at year end, Paycom demands you look over your deductions codes and earnings codes to make sure Paycom has done their job correctly (when these items should have been put in correctly from the get go according to IRS regulations); also, at year end, Paycom demands you to correct their errors in ACA--and when you do correct the errors, somehow they're back the next day. I lost so much time arguing and fighting for our right to have accurate records, but they never rebated us for that time lost. This is a money-grubbing, over-promising, high hyped company that simply isn't worth the time and aggravation. Our start up was a joke, with no testing or on-site training.

Paycom never verifies bank accounts, so employees would enter what they thought was correct, expect a paycheck, and the paycheck would have to be manually cut because Paycom never verified the account--and then charged our company for the reversal. Paycom took 25% of our WOTC credits, and they took fees every chance they got.

It was the worst 29 months I've ever experienced with a software, but lesson learned. When we switched to our new provider, it was smooth as silk.

Only your company’s HR/payroll personnel can access your employee data. They should be able to assist you regarding any questions you may have. I am a CPA and used to refer my clients to Paycom. I also own their stock.

I have become increasingly frustrated with their reports and customer service. There is not a report that shows the payroll fees throughout the year. You must call them, request them to push reports and them manually add up the reports they push. This takes them time to do, last time I asked it took 2 days.

I have told many representatives their reports are lacking and the payroll fees shouldn't be that hard to find. I have used many different companies and will be referring others until they get this fixed.

Their reports system is also not user friendly. I love to support an Oklahoma company, but at this point, its not worth my efforts in the amount of lag time.

We’re sorry you are experiencing difficulty. If you have access to your bank statements, you can also find the amount of your last paystub there if you have direct deposit. Your HR/payroll team should be able to reset your password if you are an active employee. Based on how your employer has enabled employee access, as a current employee you have the option to receive your W2 via Employee Self-Service, by mail or both. If you are a former employee, your former employer can help you retrieve these forms. The Internal Revenue Service has set the deadline of January 31 for filing of W2 forms. If your employer requires assistance in accessing your forms or resetting your login and password, please have them contact their Paycom specialist directly. No one will help me

I cannot log into Paycom it says invalid login or password I already tried the change password and it says I have to have all this information to login and one piece of information is I have to have the net amount of my last paycheck I don't have my check stub and I don't have access to that check stub because I can't access paycom the employer will not help me and told me to keep trying to play with it until I can get it she said she does not have the capability to help me I called customer service only to be told that they also cannot help me cuz they don't have access to my login information so I cannot access paycom to change my address for my W2 because I am no longer with that company my phone number is 325-721-**** if someone can help me please please

Hate using paycom

Paycom implemented "system enhancements" and took away the simple way we've been putting in our payroll for years. Seems as if some engineers wowed their bosses with a demo.

People that work there are quite nice, but still... I Hate, hate, hate it. We had previously inquired about using the online access portion of the service - the cost was exorbitant for simply giving employees a login, so we save payroll stubs to pdf and put them in dropbox for employees.

I'm finally making the time to search for an alternative - some of the cloud based accounting svcs offer everything integrated. Can't wait to dump paycom.

Worst Experience Ever

One of the worst decision I ever made. While they gave a great presentation what we were told and what we got don't line up.

They can't get things to work right and their advanced reports are far from advanced. What would take a few minutes to run now takes hours to complete. No timesaver using their platform.

I lost time because things that were automated I now have to do manually. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

Paycom is the worst payroll company I have ever dealt with. I've been doing payroll for 25 years and have never seen anything like this.

Our W2's had to be redone by Paycom because they had our State taxes all messed up. On April 7, 2017, we finally received our corrected W2's. Yes April 7th. It started from day one and continued until the last day.

We were only able to use their services for less than a year due to the amount of errors we had with them. We couldn't even run daily reports without some type of problem. We are a Michigan Based company with employees all over the U.S. and if anyone lived outside of Michigan, the taxes for the State/Local where the employee resides was incorrect as well.

We had absolutely no training on their payroll. They sold us an expensive payroll system that totally failed our company and created one of the biggest nightmares we have ever dealt with. Also when the holiday would fall on a Monday, which is when we sent our payroll to them, they would charge an extra 75.00 for the delivery of our payroll since it fell on the holiday even though Paycom was closed as well but they still charged 75.00 for a delivery due to the holiday.

We experienced so many issues we had to get a payroll system that actually did the taxes, deductions, etc., correctly and without any extra charges for deliveries. All I can say is if you are planning on using Paycom payroll Good Luck and God Bless.

Benefits administration is amazing

Our company had been using paper forms for almost all HR, payroll and benefits processes. We have complex payroll processes and have several exceptions, therefore, we need a flexible system. Paycom was flexible regarding the order in which we needed to implement each feature. The difference in benefits administration is amazing. It is very easy to set up plans online and to include any related forms, documents and even notes for employees. Employees simply need to click on enroll or decline and enter dependent information. Anyone that is looking into this systems. Be warned.

Their technology from a power user perspective is poor at best. They over promise and under deliver on every aspect of their solution. I am embarrassed that I got reeled in by this solution. I had to micromanage the entire implementation and it still resulted in the worst implementation experience in my 20 year career doing payroll.

We paid a hefty implementation fee and they screwed up just about everything from 401k accruals to W2's for 2016. They don't provide quarterly reports for 6 weeks after the quarter. They don't provide cash requirements or Employer taxes prior to submission.

They take zero accountability for mistakes they make and they charge at least 3x more than their more superior competitors. The offer no concession to keep you as a customer.
