Paycom's reply to: Most *** HR portal

Keeping your employees’ information safe and secure is essential, therefore, it is recommended that you log out of the system or lock your computer if you need to step away. However, in the event one forgets to do so, the system will automatically log you out after a certain period of time. Additionally, Paycom is the biggest advocate of its own software and absolutely utilizes it for its own human capital management needs. If you have any specific questions about the features within our system, your dedicated specialist will be happy to help you any time.

Most *** HR portal

This site wont even update front end user if the session has been terminated at the server. And you continue to work for hours and hours then boom. Nothing persists. It just blames that session has been expired. Is it a concrete HR portal? I dont think they use their own application for their own employees.

If you forget to signout and leave your laptop, there is every possibility that others can peep into your details in HR portal.

I just wish to see the architect who approved this design.

and I pity my HR and admin can't test this application before considering switching to them. Of course they are not software guys.

Hopefully I can be more rude with Paycom.

Customer service is amazing

We had been a customer of ADP for approximately 20 years, and I personally processed payroll with them for 12 years. We decided to switch to Paycom due to cost, ease of use and reporting versatility. Paycom included everything we need to process payroll accurately and to be compliant with the ACA regulations. The customer service with Paycom has been amazing. The fact that they are here to help with the first few payroll processing is awesome! Thank you so much for this opportunity to be a satisfied client of your company. I would recommend Paycom to anyone!

Paycom's reply to: Paycom - Only a matter of time until the Feds shut it down

Paycom holds itself to the highest ethical standards, and as a publicly-traded company, adheres to all government regulations regarding our process for hiring, selling, protecting our clients’ data and much more. Additionally, we love for our employees to tell their story on popular career websites, but most certainly do not force anyone to write a review. Also, everything submitted to these review sites is completely anonymous. Our sales organization’s mission is to win with the truth and everyone within the team is held to that standard.

Only a matter of time until the Feds shut it down

Worked there for a while and that was the most unethical company I've ever experienced. It got to the point I was afraid to tell people where I worked.

They only hire "young and attractive people" was the exact term from a hiring manager when a 30 year old was interviewed for sales. They also prefer not to hire anyone with prior sales experience because they want them to only know unethical sales techniques. You are encouraged to lie to make sales. I've seen sales straight lie to a clients face in order to get them to purchase "software". This was frustrating to see a small company use 30K of their budget soley for a feature that doesn't exist.

Also, the company forces new hires to write "good" reviews on websites like glassdoor. Then, use their rating on glassdoor as a recruiting tool. On top of that the company has a policy that you can't use your personal computer for work because you deal with client personal information. However, you have to a laptop to do your job and middle management tells you to ignore that rule. That leads to 20-something year olds leaving the company with thousands of bank account numbers, SSN, addresses, DOB, etc. It is disaster waiting to happen.

Please take notice that Paycom Payroll, LLC (“Plaintiff”) has initiated an action in the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas (OH) – Paycom Payroll, LLC v. I agree with this post. Their entire staff are young and attractive individuals (just skim through their LinkedIn accounts for a look). The talent acquisition stated that I was not confident so they did not hire me - when the real reason was not because I didn't have exquisite sales experience, and definitely not my level of confidence but the way I looked.

#1133595

This post is just garbage. I work for Paycom and it is the best company out there.

It is growing fast and expanding rapidly. I have not been asked to write positive reviews but I will not hesitate to do so because the only thing I can complain about is the parking. I have not seen anything unethical and not only "young and attractive" people are hired there. I work with many people of all varieties on a daily basis.

But then again, I work at the cooperate location not in sales, so maybe I don't know what I am talking about.

But, I am proud to be a part of the Paycom family! I cannot wait to see what we can accomplish in the future!

#1098973

GaD you set up your own security questions to prevent people from getting access. Paycom has interest in hacking your information.

#1098972

This is completely untrue

#1026486

They do seem to have a rather elaborate personal security questions process, which requires me to run the gamut of possible answers (obviously, I should've written these down somewhere) to no avail. Can't help wondering if all of these failed attempts on my part to access my payroll data are actually a successful means of providing this clearly sinister company with more personal data than they would ever need for my payroll processing. Please keep me in the loop on any future class action suits, or the like.

#1024114

So are you saying that they only provide desktops to their sales representatives and you have to use your personal laptop for client appointments? Absurd!

Paycom's reply to: Run for your life

At Paycom, we want to ensure our clients enjoy their user experience. Did you know that we offer several methods of training for our clients and their employees? In addition to the manuals on the Help Menu, we offer online training courses that walk clients through the system which also offers recommended processes to ensure transactions run smoothly. More training courses are being added monthly.

Run for your life

This is the worst payroll software I've ever used. I can't believe somebody referred to it as a 'Cadillac' and was only unhappy with the customer service.

I haven't found the customer service necessarily lacking but you can't make customers happy when your product is garbage. The core payroll package requires numerous manual overrides and work-arounds just to get employees paid. The add-on features are complicated and almost useless. The online 'manuals' only explain the simplest tasks that anyone with IQ of 85 could figure out on their own.

Most of the features are completely undocumented. The worst part is they are more expensive than any other system that I have tried out.

I'll give them this: they have a great sales team.

Paycom's reply to: Pushy rude sales person

Pushy rude sales person

I am currently an ADP customer. I am not always happy with them but for the most part they do a good job.

I had Paycom call on me during a time of tremendous transition. I told the sales person that I was not interested at the moment so she circumvented me and went to the CFO of the company which I find to be very distasteful. I hate underhanded sales people and Paycom seems to be ripe with them.

They come in and badmouth other payroll companies too which I think is totally unprofessional. Not a fan at all.

Something stinks at Paycom

After having a quite negative and probably discriminatory incident with this company I began reading other reviews to the same tune. I think something stinks at Paycom and the people who work there, particularly the higher ups, seem to think they are above any kind of legal or moral recourse.

Technology is a beautiful thing and there are plenty of things being said that will, one day, either make them change their ways or shut them down if they don't want to change. It's weird, isn't it, that so many customers and candidates who have been interviewed or come in to do sales canvasing have so many bad things to say but "all" of the current employees are happy. It doesn't work that way. Thank goodness for anonymous forums.

I am so glad I came across these reviews along with the ones on Glassdoor.com. You do have to look to find them, but they are there. If you've been done wrong by this company, don't worry, you aren't alone.

If you feel that you've been discriminated against by this company, speak up. Nothing can be done if no one goes through the proper channels (EEOC, AG, etc...)

Great Company

This company is the real deal. Premium service, user friendly platform, and amazing dedication to their software development. Their service team is top tier and do their best to answer all of the questions. The implementation is extremely hands on and they walk you through each step of the conversion. ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, and others do not even stand a chance against this company as they have the best customer focused business model. Everyone else's system says they're a "single system" but they are actually not. This company grew organically from the ground up and owns their own technology and does not use partners or "integrated systems." This is the future of the SAAS Payroll/HRIS industry.

Paycom harrassing Sales Calls

Paycom in Lewisville, TX has been harassing us for over 6 months now, stating they are a Software provider for HR when in fact they are a payroll provider. It started with the first gentleman (not knowing who he was speaking to) telling one of the owners, after she stated that we were not interested, that he needed to speak with someone that was competent to make that decision.

A month later Katie started calling several times a day, from different numbers, trying every extensions in our office, and will not leave a message. She calls our office, at least 3 times a day before 10am for the same person that is neither in the office nor does this person make this decisions or wants to speak with her.

She is harassing us on a daily basis! At this point IF we ever wanted to look at payroll services, WE WOULD NEVER CONSIDER PAYCOM!!!

Reason of review:
Stop the harrassing phone calls

Preferred solution: Katie needs to stop harrassing calls as this is not away to gain business

Paycom has it all

My main goal was to find a system that was truly seamless, user friendly for both managers and employees, had a strong reporting system and an accurate, simple to us payroll system. I found that with Paycom and their customer service is top notch. Our sales rep still checks in on us to make sure we are satisfied. Most sales representatives seem to disappear once the deal is closed, but not with them! VP HR

Sales Great, everyone else is incompetent and MGT are equitable to an $8 employee

Tax issues, told us they needed to deduct 20k right now and they had no reason why. Then they had to give us 12k back because they don't know what they are doing.

W2 issues we were supposed to get them free for two years. and then at 4.75 each after the fact. they deducted 28k and then when I told them I want my money they asked if they could have it in a payment plan.

GL-is a joke they charge you 2g for a converter that never worked and then they don't even offer a importable file into your quickbooks.

payroll issues- their payroll reps are rude atrocities (except Ivory Nice)

nickel and dime you to death

They lied cheated and stole their way right out of our company.

Stay away from this train wrecking scam

This company is a total joke. No back office or customer service.

They bring in customers with low $ promises and then charge later for everything you actually need, - that you thought was included. I'm a small business owner and we used Paycom for a couple of years.... can't believe it was that long(!). It was the worst business I've ever been associated with.

They made a ton of filing and calculation mistakes along the way.

Took time with IRS and state, etc, and when they were asked to get things fixed, they charged extra fees... to fix THEIR mistakes(!). They are rude and incompetent.

Please for the health of your business... stay away.

I would recommend Paycom to any company

Not only does Paycom have the most beneficial solutions for our payroll needs, but they also are the most cost efficient. They offered services and products that the other companies could not touch for the same price. Their sales executives were not only extremely knowledgeable, but very personable. Admittedly, we were very apprehensive about switching payroll services at first, but with Paycom’s excellent transition specialists, every part of the initial payroll process went smoothly. Paycom prides itself on its one-to-one customer service model, where you always reach a person, not a recording or phone tree, and we strive to ensure your questions are answered in a timely manner. In addition, we provide a free, online training program where we walk clients and their employees through the system. Unlike our competitors, the sales rep goes through the implementation process with you, ensuring everything that is promised is carried out.

The Customer Service is Abysmal

The product itself is Cadillac. The service side is broken rusty roller skate.

Response time for the simplest request is usually hours. The help desk is not appropriately named. This Company gives an impression of adversary rather than business partner. You can almost hear the giggle that accompanies the fees.

The transition was the most painful transaction in my entire career. In addition the many thousands we spent on migration was taken up front, however the set up was unprofessional, incomplete, behind schedule and very sloppy. There were many broken promises and only after we approached legal action were the WRITTEN policies honored. I have used 3 other major processors.

Although Paycom has a superior product the horrendous service puts this provider at the absolute bottom of my list. I would not wish this company on my worst enemy.

Cons:
  • Any aspect of customer service
